Happy New Year!

Greetings Allen Conservatory of Dance Families!
As 2020 FINALLY comes to a close, we want to take a minute to thank all of you for the remarkable support you have shown the Conservatory during the past year.  Your encouragement has made so many seemingly impossible things possible — our Spring Recital, a live stream “Pirouettes for Pets” fundraiser benefiting the Allen Animal Shelter, numerous Master Classes from professional dancers, Tea with the Sugar Plum Fairy, and miraculously, three LIVE performances of the Nutcracker ballet at the Allen Performing Arts Theater.  And all while socially distancing, sanitizing, mask wearing and temperature taking.  Whew!  Give yourselves a big round of applause!
We have high hopes for 2021.  Classes resume on January 4th, both in person and via Zoom.  We will immediately begin preparations for our Spring Recital, “Coppelia.”  We can’t wait to see you in class again!
Happy New Year!
From All of Us at the Allen Conservatory of Dance

Thankful In 2020

As the Thanksgiving Holiday approaches, we at Allen Conservatory of Dance find we have much to be grateful for this year, as strange as that may sound.

The patience, support and encouragement you have shown us has been humbling. Through it all, you have been there for us:

when we struggled with Instagram Live, Zoom and other technologies,

as we had to reschedule and reschedule and reschedule performances and events,

as you waited in your cars in 100 degree heat while your children were in class

During the various iterations of temperature taking, barre sanitizing and mask wearing policies

If you were a boyfriend, you would have left us by now.

But your commitment to your child’s dance education, even though it doesn’t look the same as it did last year, is awesome. And your confidence in our ability to set and achieve goals for our dancers is incredibly inspiring to us.

Thank you for all you do. If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t still be here.
