2019 – 2020 Curriculum
Ballet 5: Ages 10-12
Tuesdays & Thursday 5:30 – 7:00pm (7:00-7:30 for pointe) and Mondays 5:30-7:00This 1 ½ hour class meets three times a week (a minimum or two classes a week is mandatory); 11 year olds spend an additional ½ hour per class in beginning pointe class. An intermediate level ballet class. Placement in this level is by audition only. Additional classes are available to more serious students.
Serious students are encouraged to add Lyrical/Modern I and Progressing Ballet Tech

Ballet 6: Ages 12-14
Mondays 5:30 – 7:30pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm and Saturdays 9:00-10:30amThis 1 ½ hour class meets four days a week (a minimum of two classes a week is mandatory). Additional pointe work is included. An intermediate/advanced ballet class. Placement in this level is by audition only.
Serious students are encouraged to add a Ballet VII class (at the instructor’s discretion) and Lyrical/Modern, Contemporary, or Progressing Ballet Tech. Class.

Progressing Ballet Technique 2: Ages 13-up
Mondays 5:00 – 5:30pmPBT was founded by Marie Walton Mahon. This 1/2 hour class meets once a week. A set of exercises created especially for dancers to improve core strength, control and turn-out.

Contemporary 2: Ages 13-up
Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:00pmThis 1 hour class meets once a week. Placement in this class is subject to instructor approval.

Lyrical & Modern Dance Class 2: Ages 12-up
Tuesdays 7:30 – 9:00pmThis 1 ½ hour/ once a week class for intermediate-advanced dancers, encourages the students to further develop as artists. This class focuses on traditional Modern Dance techniques and contemporary artistic concepts. Students will learn a number of advanced choreographed phrases as well as a number of improvisational opportunities.

Ballet Stretch and Conditioning: Ages 10-up
Wednesdays 5:00 – 6:00pmThis 1 hour class is intended to improve muscle endurance and flexibility, exercising critical muscle groups for better ballet technique and placement.
